Sophomore Michelle Kolone is quickly emerging as one of Stillwater High School’s most well-rounded and driven student-athletes. With a powerful presence in three sports and a strong commitment to leadership off the field, Michelle is already building a legacy of excellence.
Michelle is a three-sport athlete who brings energy, strength, and determination to every team she’s on. On the basketball court, she plays power forward. She also shines on the diamond, playing two critical positions: catcher and first baseman. Her leadership behind the plate and dependability at first make her a cornerstone of the lineup. On top of that, Michelle competes in track and field, where she throws shot put and discus, and even contributes to the sprint team as a member of the 4×100 relay.
Michelle stays grounded and motivated thanks to the support of her family. “My parents are my biggest influences because they make a lot of sacrifices for me to be in the position I am today,” she says. “They’re always pushing me to be the best version of myself.”
That support system helped fuel one of the most unforgettable moments of Michelle’s young career so far. As a freshman, she hit a walk-off home run that sent her softball team to the state tournament. This is a moment she calls the highlight of her career to this point. It was a clutch performance that showcased her skill, focus, and love for the game.
Michelle is deeply involved in her community through her church youth group, where she currently serves as president. Her leadership, maturity, and positive attitude set an example for her peers on and off the field.
Michelle has big goals with aspirations of college athletics. She is inspired by her older brother, who plays football at BYU. Following in his footsteps, she also hopes to be a role model for her younger siblings and show them what’s possible through hard work and determination.
With a bright future ahead and a relentless drive to improve, Michelle Kolone is a name you’ll want to remember in Stillwater athletics and beyond.
