STILLWATER PIONEERS
Coach: CHAD CAWOOD
9-3

OFFENSE
With a tradition of winning and a roster loaded with top-end talent, the Stillwater Pioneers enter the 2025 season with high expectations. After another strong campaign in 2024, head coach Chad Cawood’s squad is poised to make another deep run. This team knows how to win and embraces the daily grind it takes to compete at a high level. The Pioneers’ offense is dangerous and explosive, headlined by one of the most talented receiving corps in the state. Deakon Jones (6-1, 193, Jr.), a 2027 standout, returns after a monster sophomore season where he hauled in 62 catches for 843 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jones is a physical, athletic playmaker who consistently wins one-on-one matchups. Joining him is rising sophomore David Thomas (6-0, 160, So.), who turned heads in 2024 as a freshman. With 566 yards and seven touchdowns on just 34 catches, Thomas already holds offers from powerhouse programs including Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. Every time he touches the ball, he’s a threat to score. Chandler Johnson (6-1, 195, So.) rounds out the trio at wide receiver, while the running game will feature Kyle Stokes (5-11, 175, Jr.) and Jaedan Adams (5-8, 165), two backs capable of shouldering the load and keeping defenses honest. Up front, Julian Jacobs (6-2, 265, Sr.) will anchor the offensive line and provide the protection needed for Stillwater’s high-powered attack to thrive.
DEFENSE
Stillwater’s defense returns some major pieces, led by elite edge rusher Nehemiah Kolone (6-4, 260, Sr.). Despite missing half of last season, Kolone made a major impact with 36 tackles and 6 tackles for loss. Now healthy and with nine Division I offers already in hand, he’s primed for a breakout season. Linebacker Jakoby Petree (6-0, 185, Jr.) is a tackling machine and the heart of the defense, returning with 78 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. He’s joined by Bryson Brown (6-2, 190, Jr.) and Bradford Mitchell (6-1, 205, Jr.), who add physicality and experience in the front seven. In the secondary, defensive back Peyton Campbell (6-0, 165, Jr.) provides lockdown coverage and playmaking ability. With 70 tackles, 6 interceptions, and a defensive touchdown last season, Campbell is a difference-maker. With a mix of elite skill, depth, and a winning culture, the Pioneers are built for a special 2025 season.
