Stillwater’s Madeline Thomas – Presented by Derek Rasmussen OK Farm Bureau

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Madeline: I am a junior at Stillwater High School and I play softball.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Madeline: My ninth grade English teacher, Mrs McFaul. At that time I rode the bench, I put in a ton of hard work every day and I got nothing in return. I was really done with softball, but she encouraged me and told me to keep working and eventually I would get my chance.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Madeline: Alexus Elnes. Moving to Stillwater last year wasn’t the easiest. The day before the first practice of the season is when we moved into our house. I didn’t know anyone going into practice and lex was the first one to talk to me. She has taught me more about softball than some coaches have, and this year she is coming back to coach our high school team.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Madeline: My teammates, when you have a great team it’s like family, you can count on each other, and you know your teammate will always have your back

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Madeline: I would like to thank Coach L, Coach Chris, and my dad for always pushing me to be the best version of myself!

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Madeline: Yes I am in unified peers and I volunteer at the local humane society

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Madeline: I would go to the Amalfi Coast in Italy with my grandma and eat fresh lemon pasta.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Madeline: My grandma’s chicken and dumplings

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Madeline: My dad says that “failure breeds success”
