Q&A with Stillwater’s Colt Campbell – Presented by Oklahoma Community Credit Union

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Colt: I am a senior at Stillwater High School. I play on the soccer team.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Colt: Just one teammate is hard because I am surrounded by the best team I could ask for but Diego Ortega always finds a way to put a smile on my face no matter what.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Colt: All my life I’ve looked up to Cristiano Ronaldo. As a kid I wanted to be just like him. His hard work inspires me everyday to work harder and harder to accomplish the impossible.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Colt: The accomplishment I am most proud of is being captain of the soccer team

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Colt: My dad inspires me the most. He is the best man I know and I know when I’m older I would want to be just like him one day.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Colt: Mr. Benites is my favorite teacher. I had him for Spanish 1 and Spanish 2. He made me his friend and one day my senior year when I wasn’t even enrolled in his class I walked by his class and he was very kind and let me wear his jacket. I tried to refuse but his kind heart would not let me go without that jacket.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Colt: I am involved in the Catholic Church of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. I also play chess a lot.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Colt: It is a box combo with no coleslaw, extra toast, with an extra canes sauce from canes. I eat this more than I should.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Colt: I’d like to thank my mom and dad for having to drive me everywhere whether it be for school, soccer, and track. They took the time out of their free time to support what I love.
