Reagan Bell is a junior at Stillwater High School. She participates in basketball, volleyball, track, choir, beta club, STUCO, and SMAC (Stillwater Makes a Change). She has been involved with basketball since she was in the fourth grade.
Her favorite part about basketball is her team. “My favorite part of basketball is my teammates. They are like family to me and I’m so thankful for them,” Bell says. She’s previously been awarded All District honorable mention and made the All Tournament Team at the Deer Creek Invitational. The highest moment in Bell’s career has been having several 10+ rebound games in a single season. Her favorite sports moment so far, was last year during the Deer Creek tournament against Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. One of her teammates made a shot to send them into overtime, and another hit a game winner. “Our whole team went crazy and we were so excited,” Bell said.
Bells biggest positive impacts have been her family. They always cheer her on, encourage her to do her best, and support her in everything that she does. Her biggest role model is her mom, because she’s always been there for Bell and always pushes her to try her best.
In her free time, Bell likes to read, travel, and hangout with friends. Her favorite subject in school is history, because she loves getting to learn cool and interesting facts. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Bowman, because he actively encourages Bell to do her best and comes to support her at her games. After high school, Bell plans to continue her education while also taking her sport to the next level.
For Bell, being a great athlete means having a great work ethic and being willing to put in one hundred percent effort. Sports have taught her how to work well with others, how to be a good teammate, and how to overcome adversity. When things get tough for Bell, God and her family keep her motivated to keep going. The advice that she has for her fellow athletes is to give their all and always find the positives of a situation.
