STILLWATER PIONEERS

Coach: SEAN MORGAN

2024-25 Record: 4-20

The Stillwater Pioneers are looking to bounce back from last season. Under head coach Sean Morgan, the team is looking to build on a challenging 4–20 campaign. The Pioneers’ young roster gained valuable experience last season, with four freshmen and two sophomores thrown into the fire. That early exposure to varsity competition should pay dividends this year as the team looks to improve, develop consistency, and compete on a nightly basis.

Leadership this season comes from a strong senior class. Guard Orin Reuter (6-1, Sr.) returns as a versatile floor leader who can score, facilitate, and provide stability in the backcourt. Joining him are guards EJ Cornelius (5-8, Sr.) and Jacory Thomas (5-10, Sr.), both seniors who bring experience, defensive tenacity, and a steadying presence. Up front, Ares Willis (6-1, Sr.) and Blake Streeter (6-2, Sr.) provide size and athleticism, giving the Pioneers options on both offense and defense. This experienced core will be critical in setting the tone for the team and guiding younger players through the challenges of the season.

The junior class offers added depth and potential impact. Bryson Brown (6-1, Jr.) at guard and Garrette McCutcheon (6-4, Jr.) at forward give Stillwater athleticism, scoring potential, and length. Their continued development will be vital as the Pioneers strive to compete against more experienced opponents.

Sophomores Ivan McFarlin II (6-5, So.), Charlie Rutherford (6-0, So.), and Layton Williamson (6-4, So.) are expected to make key contributions. Last year’s varsity experience has prepared them to play more confidently and effectively, both as scorers and defenders. Their growth could provide Stillwater with a dynamic blend of youth and emerging talent capable of changing the trajectory of games.

Coach Morgan emphasizes improvement, competitiveness, and consistency. The team’s focus will be on solid defense, unselfish offense, and building chemistry through repetition and experience. While wins may not come immediately, the foundation being laid with this mix of seniors, juniors, and sophomores points toward progress and development.
