CLEVELAND TIGERS

Coach: TRENT TURNER

2-8

Offense
The Cleveland Tigers enter the 2025 season with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. After a challenging 2-8 campaign, Head Coach Trent Turner believes the team is steadily maturing and ready to apply the lessons learned from recent seasons. With strong leadership from the junior and senior classes, the Tigers are focused on growth, resilience, and competing every Friday night. The Tigers’ offense will lean on a solid foundation up front with offensive linemen Hagin Sanders (6-0, 295, Sr.) and Austin Fry (6-0, 200, Sr.) anchoring the trenches. Their experience and toughness will be vital in both protecting the quarterback and establishing the run game. Junior quarterback Cole Edens (6-2, 160, Sr.) is expected to lead the offense with his growing command and poise. He will have reliable weapons like wide receiver and running back Bo Thomas (5-10, 170, Sr.), whose versatility and speed provide a dynamic threat in both the running and passing game. Fullback Leland Kimbrough (5-11, 190, Jr.) adds physicality in short-yardage situations and will help open holes for the backfield. Freshman Bryson Sullivan is poised to compete for the starting quarterback position. Although young, Sullivan’s development through the season will be one to watch as he gains confidence and experience at the varsity level. Another freshman to keep an eye on is Sam Sizemore, whose speed and athleticism give the Tigers a chance to stretch defenses vertically.

Defense
Defensively, Cleveland returns key contributors who bring energy and physicality to the unit. Safety Dawson Kelsey (5-11, 165, Sr.) will be a leader in the secondary, providing coverage and ball skills to help shut down opposing passing attacks. Linebackers Chandler Williams (5-10, 180, Jr.) and Carson Taylor (5-11, 185, Jr.) are expected to anchor the middle of the defense with their tackling ability and instincts. On the line, nose guard Michael Harjo (5-10, 220, Sr.) and defensive end Tyler Kelsey (6-5, 225, Sr.) will look to disrupt opponents’ run games and pressure the quarterback. With continued growth and a focus on fundamentals, the Tigers are ready to make strides on both sides of the ball and build a more competitive program in 2025.
