PERRY MAROONS

Coach: TRAVIS COLE

6-5

OFFENSE

The Perry Maroons enter the 2025 season with a mix of excitement and uncertainty following the graduation of 15 starters. With many positions up for grabs, the team’s development over the summer has been critical as they prepare to compete in a tough slate this fall. Coach Travis Cole will lean on a core group of experienced returners while building up a new crop of young talent ready to prove themselves. Though the Maroons are green in several spots, senior running back Andrew Kukuk (5-10, 185, Sr.) provides a steady and explosive presence in the backfield. Kukuk, a three-year starter, returns after rushing for 719 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, along with 322 receiving yards and three more scores. A career 1,900-yard rusher, Kukuk brings toughness, speed, and leadership to an offense in transition. Junior quarterback Gunnar Farrar (5-9, 150, Jr.) steps into a starting role this season. A smart, dependable leader, Farrar has earned the respect of teammates and coaches alike. With limited varsity reps last year, he’ll be expected to take command early and often. The offensive line will be anchored by seniors Logan Cook (5-11, 220, Sr.) and Aiden Tetik (6-0, 240, Sr.), whose size and experience will be vital in establishing a strong ground game. In the passing game, junior wide receiver Hunter Miner (5-9, 185, Jr.) and senior back Aiden Ferrell (5-8, 160, Sr.) will provide valuable targets.

DEFENSE

Defensively, the Maroons will rely heavily on Kukuk once again, who brings 143 career tackles and six interceptions to the table from his strong safety position. His physical play and sideline-to-sideline range will be crucial for a unit breaking in several new starters. Linebackers Asher Robinson (5-9, 165, Jr.) and Caleb Frable (6-0, 185, Sr.) return to bolster the front seven, while Miner—also a contributor at linebacker—looks to step up after logging 21 tackles in 2024. One name to watch is incoming freshman Jaxon Miner, who could make an immediate impact on both sides of the ball. With his athleticism and versatility, he may find himself contributing early. Although young, Perry’s competitive spirit, work ethic, and leadership from returning playmakers make them a formidable team with significant upside.
