Q&A with Yale’s Cadence Lozier – Presented by Central Electric Coop

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Cadence: I am a senior at Yale High School. I play softball and I also cheer.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Cadence: Getting best offensive player in softball.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Cadence: To never give up no matter how hard or stressful the situation gets, don’t give up.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Cadence: Jocelyn Alo, because of her hard work and dedication to get to where she is today.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Cadence: Emma Pittser because no matter what was happening or how she was feeling she was always pushing us to do our best.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Cadence: Mr. Lancaster because he’s a goofy person and he can make difficult situations easier.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Cadence: My Mom and my aunt Denise because they are strong, compassionate, independent, goal driven, hard working women.

Cadence: I wanna say thank you to Jessica Crowe. You have been one of my biggest supporters for the last four years of high school. No matter how much I wanted to quit and give up, you never let me. Thank you for everything.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Cadence: My mom’s chicken enchiladas.
