Stillwater’s Graham Condley – Soccer Spotlight – Presented by Derek Rasmussen – Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance

Over the span of a career, an athlete can make a lot of memories of personal and team accomplishments. As Graham Condley reflects back on his time playing soccer so far, he has one that stands out the most.

“I think my favorite memory was when we beat Owasso in the playoffs 3-2 my freshman year,” he stated.
Graham is a junior at Stillwater High School. Along with playing soccer for the Pioneers, he is also in the Beta Club and attends Meridian Technology Center.

Throughout his life, there have been people that have had an impact on Graham and helped him become who he is today.

“Jesus most of all,” Condley said when asked who was his biggest influence. “I am a follower of Christ and try to be more like him every day. My dad has also made a big impact. Just seeing how much he cares for our program and his job and how he strives to be the best he can at those things is inspiring. My teacher, Mr. Davis has been the most influential. He was like a best friend to me. I miss him a lot but I know he is in a better place.”

There have also been teammates that Condley has enjoyed competing alongside.

“Kase Williams was a good teammate and we always had a good time and pushed each other,” he said. “Diego Ortega is a current teammate that does the same thing. Both good guys.”

In order to be a successful athlete, Graham knows that he also has to excel in the classroom. He says that it takes focus to be able to do it, but you just have to set your mind to it.

“It takes discipline and good use of your time,” he said. “Using my time wisely has helped a lot with managing school work and activities.”

As a varsity athlete, Graham knows that his play on the field is important, but it is not the only thing.

“It’s very important for me to be able to represent my school,” he said. “I want to set a good example for the other students and just others in general.”
