PERRY MAROONS

GIRLS

Coach: Jennifer Scott

23-24 Record: 19-8

The Lady Maroons made an earlier exit from the playoff than they wanted last season. But with the combination of returners and new faces, head coach Jennifer Scott is looking for her team to have a really solid year. “We are returning three starters in Sarah Davison, Bella Porter, and Alliyah Shrum,” coach Scott said. “We are welcoming a new face Bonnie Jo Childs, who has been an all conference player the last three years. She will have a huge impact on our team this year. Brooklenn Moses will also be making an impact this year along with Leeann Coleman. We have a freshman that will also help us in Lainey Hughey. We

have high expectations for our team this year. We are athletic and excited about the year.” Sarah Davison (5-9, Sr.) averaged 15.9 points a game last year as a junior and was an all-conference player. She looks to play basketball at the collegiate level. A transfer from Frontier High School, Bonnie Childs (5-6, Sr.) is a great defender and passer. She will be giving a lot of assists to the team this year. She is also an outstanding three-point shooter. Leeann Coleman (5-8, So.) will play a big role in the post. She is strong and works hard to get rebounds. Lainey Hughey (5-8, Fr.) will have an impact this season, even as a freshman. A hard worker in practice, Brooklenn Moses (5-6, Jr.) is someone that does all the little things right and she will add depth to the team. Other members of the team that will look to make contributions this season are Serenity Beier (5-6, Jr.), Trinity Copper (5-7, Sr.), Bella Porter (5-10, Jr.), Aliyah Shrum (5-6, Jr.), Ally Cellars (5-6, So.), Amira Calhoun (5-6, So.), Kendall Coleman (5-5, Fr.), Kaydence Unruh (5-8, Fr.), Alicia Alatorre (5-6, So.), Addison Mills (5-7, Fr.), and Hadley Howell (5-7, Fr.).
