Boys Basketball
John Martin – Carney
John is an underrated player that can do just about anything on the floor. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals last season as a junior. He can score at all three levels, rebounds well for a guard, is a great passer, and is really good guarding the ball on the defensive end.
Jace Lemons – Coyle
Lemons, who is a leader on the Coyle Bluejackets basketball team, overcame a devastating ACL injury that forced him to miss last season, undergoing intense rehabilitation and emerging with a renewed passion for the game. Now, he returns as a seasoned leader, driven to make every moment count, embracing the team’s youth and inexperience as opportunities for growth. Jace has put countless hours into working on his basketball skills.
Clark Pepper III – Glencoe
Clark is a very strong guard who stands about six-foot-one who gets downhill very well. He has a very good handle of the basketball and can make plays very easily with his high IQ. He has a very good shot, and can get the shot off the bounce. He loves to defend the opponent’s best player and does a very good job at it.
Brendon Swoboda – Morrison
A junior guard that has a motor that never stops, Swoboda will be there to compete on both ends of the court.
Tomoyake Tahchawwickah – Pawnee
Tomoyake is a very unique and special kind of player. A leader with the ability to perform under pressure and shine under the brightest of lights. His game is smooth, under control while being complete with the intangibles every coach wants.
Jace Myers – Perkins-Tryon
Jace is a returner that has had a decent amount of varsity action. He came off the bench the last two seasons and he is expected to have a big season for the Demons this season.
Bryson Brown – Stillwater
Bryson will be a key player for the Pioneers this year. He has worked hard in the offseason and is ready to make some big contributions on both ends of the court.
Girls Basketball
Arianna Vasquez – Coyle
A great kid and a hard worker, Vasquez is always ready to do whatever she can to help her team be successful.
Laken Hicks – Morrison
Laken has been a leader on the team the last few years. She is an offensive threat. She can shoot the three and penetrate the paint. She is unselfish and finds the open girl. Great kid and all around athlete.
Krisalyn Fields – Perkins-Tryon
Krisalyn started playing basketball in the fifth grade and has loved it ever since. She has played at Perkins-Tryon for the past seven years and enjoys the environment and how close she is with her teammates and coaches. Basketball has taught her so much and has impacted her life in many different ways.
Bonnie Jo Childs – Perry
Bonnie is a senior this year and comes from Frontier High School. She has been an all conference player the last three years and she will look to have a huge impact on the team this year. She is a great defender and passer.
