“I joined FFA my eighth grade year. My siblings who were also active in FFA, and encouraged me to join,” said Crosthwait.
With so many activities to choose from, Crosthwait said she settled on a few that interested her the most.
“I am the reporter on our chapter officer Team. I enjoy Cattle Grading, Agriscience Fair, and give extemporaneous speeches. I also gave the Creed my freshman year and was top 4 in the state,” said Crosthwait. “I enjoy the opportunities that the FFA organization gives its members.”
Also a member of the Cimarron Valley 4-H Club and the Native American Club at SHS, Crosthwait said Stillwater High School is great place for students thanks to the support the faculty gives its students.
“I am supported on an administrative level in all of my FFA activities and recognized for the achievements of my chapter and myself,” said Crosthwait. “I am learning to connect with others and be comfortable in new places and activities.”
Crosthwait gives credit to her family for their support and encouragement.
“My parents and siblings are my biggest supporters. They always push me to be my best and have sacrificed time and energy for me.”
When the opportunity presents itself, Crosthwait said she enjoys spending time with friends and trying new things to eat. When her high school days come to an end, Crosthwait said she wants to pursue a degree in Animal Science and Biology at Oklahoma State University.
“I hope to find a career as a pathologist that specializes in Necropsy,” said Crosthwait.
