Q&A with Blackwell’s Stoney Hutson – Presented by Bancfirst Blackwell

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Stoney: I am a senior at Blackwell High School and I play football and I wrestle.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Stoney: Football has taught me that hard work and dedication will get you where you want to go.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Stoney: Ernesto Duenez was a senior on my wrestling team my sophomore year. The two years I was on a team with him he improved more than anyone I’ve ever had the chance to be around. He is a great friend and those years wouldn’t have been as fun without him.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Stoney: I would say I am most proud of my first game starting at linebacker. I got Defensive Player of the Week in my class.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Stoney: My favorite teacher would have to be my sophomore English teacher from Watonga Mrs. Roberts. She made every day fun and actually helped me enjoy English class for once.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Stoney: My dad inspires me the most because he worked and worked so that his kids could grow up with the things he couldn’t and be able to do the things they love without worry.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Stoney: “You have the opportunity of a lifetime, but it’s only in the lifetime of the opportunity” Coach Watson

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Stoney: My all time favorite meal would have to be steak mushrooms and a big bowl of Mac n cheese.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Stoney: I’d go to Alaska with my family. I’m naturally a cold weather person and I just love the people there. Everyone is so nice and the food is the best.
