Natalia Good has been making her mark at Ponca City High School for years, but it’s not just her stats that stand out, it’s the heart behind the game. A junior who splits her time between basketball and track, Natalia has spent this season focusing on running the court as a point guard or shooting guard, orchestrating plays with precision and poise.
“Being able to look up and see my two sisters in the crowd motivates me to be the best I can be,” Natalia says. “I want to give them a role model to look up to.”
Her drive doesn’t stop there. Natalia credits her parents as the foundation of her work ethic. Rain or shine, win or lose, they show up. Their dedication has taught her more than plays and drills, it has taught her how to be a better person on and off the court.
Grant Middlebrooks, a teacher who has left a lasting impression on Natalia, helped her realize a simple but powerful truth: give your all in everything you do, and nothing can hold you back. That mindset has shaped not only her approach to basketball and track but also her leadership as she guides teammates with patience, discipline, and encouragement.
Starting varsity as a freshman remains one of Natalia’s proudest moments. “Hearing my name announced for the first time as a starter, it’s unforgettable,” she recalls. Rivalry games against Stillwater and Enid also fuel her energy, bringing an intensity and excitement that few other arenas can match.
Natalia’s respect for her teammates is evident. She pushes herself against Nevaeh Carlisle in practice and admires Regan Friess for bringing energy on and off the court. Outside athletics, she channels that same commitment into roles with the Student Athlete Advisory Council, Student Ambassador, and HOSA.
For Natalia, balance is key. Prioritizing academics, activities, and personal growth is just as important as any game strategy. Following Bryce Crawford on social media reminds her of a deeper truth: worth is not measured in minutes played or points scored.
“Find your worth outside of sports,” she advises. “You are more than an athlete. Who are YOU outside your sports?”
For Natalia Good, the answer is clear, she is a leader, a sister, a student, and a young woman determined to make her mark both on the court and in life.
