Frontier Mustangs
Coach: Bob Weckstein
2024-25 Record: 25-6
Head coach Bob Weckstein has been a mainstay in the Frontier basketball program. Entering his 35th season at the helm of the Mustangs, he is optimistic about how his team will fare. Coming off an impressive 25–6 campaign, Frontier once again expects to be a contender, though the path will require growth from a retooled roster. The Mustangs graduated three key seniors and a significant amount of scoring production, but Weckstein notes that a challenging schedule will provide the tests needed to prepare his team for another postseason push.
Senior guard Christian Plumley (6-0, Sr.) returns as the engine of the Mustangs’ offense. A dynamic point guard who excels as both a scorer and distributor, Plumley averaged 12.1 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game last season while shooting a strong 40% from beyond the arc. His ability to control tempo, make plays for teammates, and knock down shots makes him one of the top returning guards in the area. Beyond his on-court production, Plumley is also praised as an outstanding person and leader, traits that will be vital for a team integrating new contributors.
Sophomore Haidyn Plumley (5-9, So.), a skilled pure shooter with a deep understanding of the game, is poised to take another step forward after averaging 7 points per contest as a freshman. His perimeter scoring will help offset some of the offense lost to graduation, and his ability to stretch the floor should open opportunities for Frontier’s frontcourt.
Inside, sophomore forward Ke’ano Morales (6-2, So.) brings athleticism, energy, and interior scoring ability. After posting 6.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game last season, he is expected to be a major factor in the paint on both ends of the floor. Seniors Kolton Ingmire (5-11, Sr.) and Keaton Morales (6-0, Sr.) add reliability, effort, and leadership. Both are described as great kids who can be trusted to do their jobs every night and help stabilize a rotation with several younger pieces.
While the Mustangs will need new scorers to emerge, the culture, toughness, and experience that define Weckstein’s program remain firmly in place. With strong guard play, a promising sophomore group, and a schedule designed to challenge them early, Frontier has all the ingredients to remain one of the most competitive teams in the area as they chase another deep postseason run.
