KELLYVILLE PONIES

Coach KEN ZACHARY

1-9

Offense

Entering his third season at the helm, Head Coach Ken Zachary believes the pieces are in place for a breakout year for the Kellyville Ponies. With 14 seniors and a hungry group of underclassmen, the program has grown stronger and more unified, and there’s real optimism surrounding the 2025 campaign. The Ponies’ offense will feature a mix of speed, versatility, and playmaking ability, led by standout athletes Jayvius Holmes (5-9, 155, Sr.) and Asher Thornbrue (6-2, 160, Jr.). Holmes has been a part of the program since Coach Zachary arrived and is expected to be a game-changer this season. With elite speed and dynamic ability, Holmes will be used in a variety of ways, with special plays designed to get him in open space against defenders. Asher Thornbrue is the team’s most complete athlete and will line up at quarterback, receiver, and defensive back. With a high football IQ and natural athleticism, Thornbrue is expected to lead the offense and provide a spark whenever the ball is in his hands. Running back Kyle Hillsbery (5-9, 185, Sr.) will also be a key part of the backfield, bringing toughness and elusiveness to the ground game. The offensive line, anchored by Jacob Wood’s (6-1, 295, Sr.) and Zachary Demauro (6-5, 230, Sr.), will be crucial to the team’s success, creating lanes for runners and time for Thornbrue to work. Tight end Gage Montgomery adds versatility as both a blocker and receiver, while athlete Wyatt Stotts (6-1, 181, Jr.) brings steady leadership and consistency on every snap.

Defense

Defensively, the Ponies return a solid core with speed and aggression at all levels. Linebackers Zane Harggard (6-0, 195, Sr.) and Gage Montgomery (6-1, 220, Sr.) will lead the middle, bringing toughness and discipline to the heart of the defense. Both are experienced and reliable players who will help anchor the unit. On the line, Jeremy Anderson (6-1- 205, Sr.) and Jacob Woods bring size and strength, aiming to control the trenches and disrupt opposing offenses. In the secondary, players like Thornbrue, Holmes, and Hillsbery will use their speed and instincts to create turnovers and shut down big plays. With leadership, depth, and a competitive mindset, Kellyville is prepared to take a big leap forward in 2025.
