STROUD TIGERS
Coach: JOSH PRESLEY
12-1
Offense
After a stellar 12-1 campaign in 2024, the Stroud Tigers enter the 2025 season with high expectations and a strong returning core of playmakers. Head coach Josh Presley is confident in his team’s ability to reload in the trenches and build on the momentum from last year. With dynamic skill players on offense and a fast, aggressive defense, Stroud is poised to make another deep playoff run. The Tigers will once again rely on a punishing ground attack led by senior running back Jacob Beck (5-11, 175, Sr.) and fullback Trystan Baker (5-11, 190, Sr.). Beck rushed for 1,250 yards and 21 touchdowns last season, showcasing a mix of vision and speed that makes him a constant threat. Baker adds a physical presence to the backfield, rushing for 975 yards and nine scores. A true leader on and off the field, Baker carries a 4.0 GPA and a 30+ ACT, embodying the ideal student-athlete. Aiden Collins (5-10, 165, Jr.) returns as one of the most versatile and electric playmakers in Class A. The junior totaled 438 receiving yards, 450 rushing yards, and 16 total touchdowns in 2024. His speed and agility allow him to line up all over the field, creating mismatches for defenses. With several new faces stepping in on the offensive line, the Tigers will look to lean on their experienced skill players early as the line gels.
Defense
Defensively, Stroud will rely on team speed and discipline to swarm to the football. Baker leads the charge at linebacker, coming off a 146-tackle, 5-sack season. His instincts and toughness set the tone for the unit. Beck also makes a major impact at free safety, recording 75 tackles, three interceptions, and returning two for touchdowns. His ability to read the field and make plays in space adds a crucial layer to the defense. At strong safety, Jeremiah Cropp (6-2, 200, Sr.) brings physicality and versatility, posting 84 tackles and three interceptions a year ago.
With speed at every level and strong leadership, the Stroud defense will be relentless in pursuit and a major strength heading into 2025.
