Luke is proud to represent both his school and his community as a student athlete. Luke proclaimed, “It means a lot to me to go out and perform- for not only my coaches and teammates, but for my family and everyone in the stands. I really love it here at Mannford; the coaches are amazing, and everyone here is welcoming. Overall, the Mannford community has to the best I have ever seen.”
As far as what it has taken Luke to become successful in sports, Luke stated, “It has taken hard work, and the mentality to keep pushing even when things get tough, or even if things do not look good.”
For Luke, there is a teacher that stood out amongst others during his academic career. Luke stated, “The teacher that had the greatest impact on me was my 8th grade English teacher, Mrs. Spradlin. She was always pushing me to be better in everything. The next day after a game, she would always have something positive to say about me; that always made me look forward to the next game, and to do the best I possibly could at every single game.”
Luke went on to say that he gives it his all when plays. “I am trying to become better and better every day, so I can be a person everybody looks up to.”
Luke has camaraderie towards his fellow teammates. Luke stated, “I love everyone on the team like they are a part of my family.”
After graduating from high school, Luke plans on pursuing higher education, and continuing to play sports at the collegiate level. Luke stated, “My plan is to go college and continue my career in sports. I have faith in everything I do, that I am successful.”
