Mannford Girls Track – Presented by Rib Crib

As track season approaches, the Mannford Lady Pirates under head coach Mike Banfield are poised for another solid season despite graduating some key players.

Coach Banfield said the team returns a solid nucleus of athletes.

“We graduated some really good seniors but have a good nucleus of returning young girls. We will be led by Addi Pehrson (So.) and Trinity Tuell (Jr.). They were both state qualifiers last year and I have several more returning that competed at the State Meet. Tuell placed 4th at the state meet last season in the pole vault. We return multiple girls that qualified for the state meet in the 4X100 and 4×200,” said coach Banfield.

Tuell is a consistent performer and someone who could continue to set records.

“Tuell tied the school record in pole vault last year with a 10-feet 6-inches. Qualified for the state meet as a freshmen and sophomore in the pole vault. Placed 4th at the state meet last year in the vault as a sophomore. Placed 10th at the state meet as a freshman in the vault and was the 2024 Tulsa 7 Conference Champion in the pole vault,” said coach Banfield.

Addi Pehrson is another underclassman looking to make some serious waves this year. Pehrson qualified for the state meet last year as a freshman. She set school records in the 200, 4X100, and the 4X200. Pehrson is an outstanding basketball player and makes the transition from the court to the track look easy.

Meets with Dewey, Ponca City, Okemah, Bristow, Checotah, Vinita, and the Tulsa 7 Conference Meet are all on the schedule.
