Bristow’s TJ Wilson – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Run Stop of Bristow

Bristow High School junior TJ Wilson is a multisport athlete, playing football, basketball, and running track for the Bristow High School Pirates. In football, TJ plays the positions of receiver and safety, and in basketball, TJ plays the positions of shooting guard and small forward. Many would consider TJ a sports veteran, having played football for 10 years, basketball for 11 years, and has ran track for 4 years.

TJ is proud to represent both his school and community as a student athlete. TJ proclaimed, “It is an amazing feeling to represent my community when I play in any of my sports. It is truly an awesome feeling knowing there are people watching me, and that there are kids that are looking up to me, when I play.”

In terms of his biggest role model, TJ considers a family member to be that source. TJ accounted, “My biggest influence is my mom, because of the things she has been through, and how she always does her absolute best for me, no matter what.”

During a student athlete’s career, there is often a teacher that has left the greatest impression on them. TJ stated, “The teacher with the biggest impact on my life is definitely Coach Hall. He always pushes me to do my best, even when I think I gave it my all, and I really appreciate that.”

Many memories are made in high school athletics. As far as a memory that stood out to him the most, TJ reflected, “So far, the highlight moment of my career as a student athlete was my first ever varsity football game, during my freshmen year of high school.”

In addition to being a multisport athlete for the Bristow Pirates, TJ is involved in other extracurricular activities.  TJ stated, “I am affiliated with the Bristow Athletic Leadership Council, as well as our football Unity Council.”

After graduating from high school, TJ plans on pursuing higher education. TJ stated, “After graduating from high school, I plan to go to college, and eventually to become a Lawyer.”
