VYPE Athlete Spotlight: Grahm Streater – Bristow High School
By Olivia Jones
For Grahm Streater, success isn’t measured by a scoreboard; it’s measured by work ethic, consistency, and personal growth. This Bristow High School sophomore is already turning heads with his determination on the football field and in the throwing ring as a discus athlete for the track team.
On the field, Grahm plays offensive and defensive right tackle, bringing power, discipline, and relentless drive. “My motivation is knowing there’s never a moment I can say I’m the best I can be,” he said. “There’s always room to improve, competition to chase, and work to be done. Whether I’m lifting, working on my footwork, or running sprints, I love every minute of it.”
That love for the grind is fueled by role models like JR Conrad and Coach Hall. “JR has been in the spot where I dream about being but still gives back to help others get better. Coach Hall is more than a great coach—he’s a great man. He motivates me to be better every day,” Grahm shared.
But it’s Coach Cole who Grahm credits with giving him his first big break. “He believed in me enough to give me a starting spot on Friday nights. He pushed me to be better, on and off the field.” Grahm also looks up to Trent Williams, and though he doesn’t have a set dream school, Texas A&M made a strong impression during a camp visit.
Grahm spends his off seasons attending college camps, staying consistent in summer workouts, and putting in extra work most won’t see. “Giving up my Saturdays from January to August—that’s where I believe my success comes from.”
A career highlight so far? Seeing that hard work coming to life in camp performances and weight room progress. On game night, his favorite opponent to beat is Victory Christian, a team he’s been battling since youth football.
Grahm enjoys practicing with Marley Branscum, a fellow competitor who shares his drive. And he’s quick to uplift teammate Will Remington, calling him “extremely underappreciated” for his work ethic and skills as a receiver.
Off the field, Grahm serves on Leadership and Unity Council, and he’s gained recognition from Prep Redzone Oklahoma, one of his favorite accounts to follow.
His pregame ritual is quiet but powerful kneeling at midfield, soaking in the crowd, the music, and the moment.
If football wasn’t an option? “I’d be throwing discus,” he said. And with a district title and state appearance as a freshman, he’s already proven himself there too.
Representing Bristow means the world to him. “I moved here in 8th grade, and they’ve welcomed me with open arms. I’m proud to be a Purple Pirate.”
