Cain Clay is soon to be a senior at Bristow High School. He participates in football and wrestling. He’s been participating in football for 10 years. Cain’s favorite part about football is playing under those Friday night lights with his best friends on the team. The highest moment in his career so far was when he got three sacks in one game. His favorite sports moment with his team was when they made it to the quarter finals and later the dual finals.
Cain’s biggest positive impact has been his dad. He’s also his coach and has always pushed him to get better. His biggest role models have been his grandparents, because they helped give him a strong family foundation and and always supported him.
Cain’s favorite subject in school is history, because he enjoys learning about things that have happened in the past, specifically in ancient history. His favorite teacher is Coach Hall, because Coach Hall was great to have in class and has always been there to guide and lead him. In his free time, Cain likes to go golfing, kayaking, fishing, gaming, reading, and roping with his uncle and grandpa. After high school, Cain plans to play football in college and eventually become a firefighter.
Sports have taught Cain how to be mentally tougher and how to commit. To him, being a great athlete takes dedication, effort, and being coachable. When things get tough, Cain can always depend on his mom. “She has been my biggest supporter throughout my life. Anytime I am down, she picks me up and helps me through it,” he says. His advice to other athletes is to never give up, because you’re only letting yourself down when you don’t give it your all, and to enjoy every moment that you get to be out on the field with your teammates.
