OUTLOOK

The Bristow Lady Pirates enter the 2025-26 season looking to build on a foundation of youth, energy, and potential under head coach Matt Morgan, who is entering his 11th season leading the program. With a young roster full of emerging talent, Morgan believes this team has the right mindset to grow and compete each time they step on the floor.

“Our team is young, but we’re full of energy, talent, and potential,” said Morgan. “Every practice and game will be an opportunity to grow, learn, and build confidence. We may face challenges, but we’re excited about the future and believe this group has what it takes to develop into something special.”

Leading the charge for the Lady Pirates is Amiyah Rolland (5-8, Jr.), who averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists per game last season. “Amiyah is a difference maker on both ends of the floor,” said Morgan. “On the offensive end she has good ball-handling skills and can get to the rim with her strength and skill. Defensively she has good instincts and uses her athleticism to wreak havoc on the opponents.”

In the backcourt, Olivia Morgan (Sr., G) and Emaly Swigert (Sr., G) bring senior leadership and experience, helping guide a young but motivated roster. “Our seniors will be key in setting the tone for how we work and compete,” Morgan said.

Sophomore Josie Morgan (So., G) is another exciting player to watch after an impressive freshman season where she averaged 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game. “Josie had a really good freshman year, and we are expecting an even bigger year this year,” said Morgan. “Her ball-handling helps her get to the rim and she shoots the ball good from the 3-point line. She is also disruptive on the defensive end.”

Rounding out the core rotation are Brenlynn Dowdy (Jr., F), who adds size and rebounding inside, and Skylar Jamison (So., G), who contributes defensively and can score in transition. Aston Jackson (So., G), Rylee Linker (So., F), Chloe Cooper (So., F), and Cambri Cantrell (Fr., G) give Bristow additional depth and versatility across the lineup.
