Stillwater’s Karie Linsenmeyer – Teacher Spotlight – Presented by Simmons Bank

For over a decade, Karie Linsenmeyer has been a driving force in the Stillwater Public School system, bringing energy, heart, and dedication to her role as a Secondary Adapted Physical Education teacher. Entering her 12th year with Stillwater Schools, Karie works across Stillwater High School, Junior High, and Middle School, making a lasting impact on students at every level.

Karie’s journey in education began with a deep-rooted passion. “I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and coach,” she says. “It’s a respectable and rewarding profession.” She previously taught at Northern Oklahoma College and also had a prior stint at Stillwater High School before returning to the district she now proudly calls home.

Throughout her own school years, Karie was influenced by a number of inspiring educators. But it’s not just about the past—she continues to learn from the talented teachers she works alongside today. Her greatest joy in education comes from witnessing her students and athletes reach their goals. “Anytime I see them succeed at something they worked hard for, that’s what it’s all about.”

The best teaching advice she’s ever received is simple but powerful: “It’s ultimately all about the students.” This student-first mindset is evident in every aspect of her work.

Outside the classroom, Karie is just as active and passionate. She’s been married to her husband Lee for 28 years, and they have three grown children: Kody (28), Kameron (26), and Kaylee (20). When she’s not teaching, Karie enjoys spending quality time with her family and coaching traveling softball—another way she mentors and supports youth in her community.

Karie speaks highly of Stillwater Public Schools and the people behind the scenes. “It’s a wonderful district to work for with a tremendous and supportive administration,” she says.

Karie Linsenmeyer is more than an educator—she’s a role model, mentor, and advocate for every student she serves. Her passion and dedication continue to shape lives across Stillwater.
