The Stillwater Lady Pioneers enter the 2025 season looking to make strides with a young but highly talented roster. After finishing 18-29 last year, Head Coach Karie Linsenmeyer—now in her 12th season at the helm—is optimistic about the group’s potential. With a strong mix of experienced leaders and rising underclassmen, this year’s team could surprise a lot of people.
A key piece of the lineup is senior Calle Cox, a mainstay behind the plate and in the heart of the batting order throughout her high school career. A dependable catcher with a powerful bat, Cox is on pace to break several school records before she graduates. Her consistency, leadership, and presence on the field make her an anchor for this young squad.
Also returning is senior Jaelynn Wilhelm, who has led the team in batting average the past two seasons. While she’s already proven to be a steady offensive threat, Coach Linsenmeyer expects a major surge in her power numbers this year. Wilhelm’s bat could become a game-changer for the Pioneers’ offensive production.
Stillwater’s underclassmen are generating plenty of buzz as well, especially Grace Tonga, Michelle Kolone, and Saisalui Kolone. All three are Division I prospects and bring elite athleticism to the field. Whether at the plate, on the bases, or defensively, these young stars are expected to make an immediate and lasting impact. They are without a doubt “must-watch” players this season.
Another important leader for the Pioneers is Madeline Thomas, a selfless and steady presence on and off the field. A member of Stillwater High’s Unified Peers Club, which partners with Special Olympics, Thomas is admired for her patience, commitment, and heart. She sets the tone for the team’s culture and plays an important role in bringing the group together.
With a blend of experienced leadership and breakout potential from a talented underclassman core, Stillwater softball is poised for an exciting and competitive season in 2025.
