Stillwater Boys & Girls Swim – Presented by BancFirst Loyal

The Stillwater High School boys and girls swim teams continue to showcase the strength, commitment, and camaraderie that have become trademarks of the program under Head Coach Angela Knott. Day after day, the Pioneers fill the pool with energy and purpose, pushing one another through grueling sets, celebrating improvements big and small, and building a culture centered on teamwork and accountability.

A cornerstone of that culture is returning state champion Elias Mendez, whose impact reaches far beyond his impressive times. Known as the team’s most versatile swimmer, Elias consistently leads by example, whether he’s powering through butterfly repeats, anchoring relays, or encouraging younger teammates during tough workouts. His influence has helped shape a focused and driven environment for both squads.

The team also benefits from the steady arrival and growth of athletes who are carving out their own roles. One of the newest additions, Matilda Finch, brings years of club experience and has quickly become an important part of the girl’s lineup. Her range in the 100 fly and multiple freestyle events adds valuable flexibility to meet lineups. Sophomore Dean Shelton continues to make his mark as well, specializing in fly and freestyle while showing noticeable improvement each week. His likely spot in the medley relay highlights how far he has come since last season. Another standout presence is Paisley Redding, whose dedication and positive spirit make her a reliable and uplifting force within the program.

Surrounding these key swimmers is a deep and steadily improving roster. The girls team includes Isabella Genevro, Ella Clark, Alexis Dotter, Mylie Ho, Charlee Johnson, Olivia Lao-Alvarado, Violet Olson, Izri Lam, Mattea Lawson, Brannigan Wieman, and freshmen Sophie Chapman, Audrey Rice, Helen Cruz, Lyla Johnson, and Timber Wick.

The boy’s team features seniors Aiden Kim, Caleb Vander-Sys, and Cale Wallin; juniors Sawyer Aichele, Vann Walker, and Louis Perkins; sophomores Gabriel Genevro, Jett Langdon, Enea Minghetti, Nate Vander-Sys, Carter Swann, and James Zwanch; and freshmen Archer Fullerton, Beau Aichele, and Luke Soulek.

Together, the Pioneers continue to swim with pride, unity, and a commitment to pushing the program forward every day.
