Logan Gajewski may be just a freshman at Perkins-Tryon High School, but she’s already making a name for herself on the softball field and basketball court. With her powerful presence at first base and on the pitcher’s mound, as well as her grit playing post in basketball, Logan is proving that talent, dedication, and heart can take you far regardless of your age.
Growing up in a sports-focused family, Logan was surrounded by the game from an early age. Her biggest inspirations? Her dad and her brother. “Growing up around my dad’s coaching has taught me discipline and hard work,” she says. “My brother always motivates me to push myself and compete at my best.” That competitive drive, rooted in family values, continues to shape her approach to athletics.
Logan credits much of her motivation to the older players on her dad’s team. “They feel like big sisters to me,” she says. Watching their leadership and commitment opened her eyes to what’s possible with focus and effort. “Being successful in sports takes loving the game, working hard every day, and being willing to learn from coaches and teammates.”
A recent highlight in her young career showcases that hard work paying off. Logan blasted three dingers during the prestigious Colorado Sparkler tournament. But the excitement didn’t stop there. Upon returning home, she smashed her first high school home run, marking a milestone and the beginning of a great career at Perkins-Tyron.
Though still early in her high school career, Logan already embraces the mindset of a seasoned athlete. She believes in staying positive, never giving up, and always striving to be better than the day before. “I love softball because I’ve grown up around it. It has given me opportunities, friendships, and a passion that keeps me motivated.”
Whether it’s in the dugout, on the court, or surrounded by her family, Logan Gajewski is a young athlete with an unwavering spirit. Her work ethic, supportive influences, and a deep love for the game, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to turn heads throughout her high school journey, and beyond.
