I am motivated by playing time, my abilities God has blessed me with, and being the best I can be.”

In regards to what it has taken to be successful in sports, Jordyn explained, “It has taken the extra time to practice. It has also taken the extra effort in practice and on my own, to care and not ever settle for being 2nd.”

In addition to being a student athlete at Perking-Tryon High School, she is involved in various extracurricular activities and groups. Jordyn plays for the Swarm Travel Basketball Team, is a member of Hope Squad, and Young Life. She is also very active at her church, being a part of youth group at Sunnybrook Christian Church, as well as being a nursery volunteer at church, and volunteer at Our Daily Bread in Stillwater.

Many memories are made as a student athlete. Jordyn recalled two particular memories that stand out thus far. Jordyn stated, “That memory was being called up by my coach to play my first varsity minutes in a tight game, and traveling with my summer team to an out of state event”.

Jordyn currently maintains a 4.0 Grade Point Average in high school, so pursuing higher education is definitely on the radar. Jordyn explained, “After graduating from high school, I plan to go to college and major in dermatology or another medical field, while continuing to play basketball.”
