When Brendon Swaboda was in middle school, he made the decision to join the FFA chapter at school. His friends were in FFA and Swaboda said they encouraged him to join.
Now a junior at Morrison High School, Swaboda is involved in several activities including being a member of the varsity basketball and football teams.
“I don’t show animals, but I am involved in milk quality judging,” Swaboda said. “I also enjoy selling Blue and Gold sausage.”
Swaboda said his father has been a big influence in his life. From his work ethic to sharing his life experience, Swaboda knows he can count on his father for good advice.
“My father has had the greatest impact on my life, teaching me valuable life lessons,” said Swaboda.
Also a varsity basketball player, Swaboda said he plans on attending college once he graduates from high school. For now, the junior is enjoying representing Morrison High School in FFA, basketball and football.
“My favorite thing about football is going out on a Friday night in front of the Morrison home crowd and playing as hard as I can and hearing the crowd get loud,” Swaboda said. “I plan to attend college and get a degree in sports medicine.”
Swaboda said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.
“I would say join, you won’t regret it one bit.”
