Coyle’s Korbin Northington

Coyle High School senior Korbin Northington is a member of the varsity football team and a member of the FFA chapter at school.

The right guard said he loves the game and loves being around his teammates.

“What I love most about the game is that I get to spend it with the people I love and getting to rush of adrenaline right before the ball snaps ready to go hit someone. What I love most about my teammates is that they are there for me on and off the field it’s a relationship I have with them that goes further than football it’s a brotherly bond they are there when I need then to bring me up they are there to cheer me, to listen and to support me,” said Northington.

There are many games Northington is looking forward to playing, but in his final year of prep football, Northington said there is one game on the schedule that stands out.

“Pond Creek-Hunter because that’s the first game of the season and I think that’s when we really set the tone and show people what where about,” said Northington.

A member of the FFA chapter since 2021, Northington is involved in dairy judging, cattle grading and the welding program. Some of the skills he is learning in FFA will help him in his future career.

“I would like to go to Meridian Tech to get my welding license or Automation and go work offshore,” said Northington.

Northington said his grandmother is a big source of inspiration in his life and he loves spending time with his family and friends.

“She was the sweetest and most cheerful person I’ve ever met. She would give you the shirt off her back just to make sure you had what you needed. She always had a smile and was always happy. She made sure her kids were taken care of before herself. She was the living and breathing definition of selfless,” said Northington.
