9 Questions with Perry High School’s Joely Kukuk – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Stanley’s Auto Parts & Wrecker Service

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Joely: I am a senior at Perry High School where I play softball.

VYPE: Is there a teammate, current or former, who made an impact on you?

Joely: The teammate that has left the biggest impact on me is Alley Kennedy because we’ve gone through our softball journeys together and became best friends because of it.

VYPE: What is something you have achieved in athletics that you are most proud of?

Joely: The accomplishment I’m most proud of is winning the 2023 3A fast pitch softball championship with my team. 

VYPE: Is there a college or professional who you look up to?

Joely: A professional athlete I look up to is Samantha Show because she was pitching in college when I was learning to pitch and I have followed her career ever since.

VYPE: What do you enjoy most about representing your school when you play?

Joely: My favorite part about representing my school as an athlete is creating lasting connections with my teammates and having a positive impact on up and coming players.

VYPE: What teacher during your time in school has been your favorite?

Joely: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Kennedy because she was my old coach has always believed in me in the classroom and on the field.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout to anyone you want.

Joely: I want to thank my parents and all of my previous, current, and future coaches for all giving me the chance to play and believing in me.

VYPE: Outside of sports, what other clubs or activities are you involved in?

Joely: I am involved in NHS (National Honor Society) and NAHS. (National Art Honor Society)

VYPE: If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?

Joely: I would go to Egypt. I would take my family and we would go the Pyramids of Giza and ride camels.
