OUTLOOK
After returning nearly the entire roster from a season ago, the Oilton Panthers enter the 2025-26 campaign with confidence, experience, and a hunger to make a deep postseason run. Under head coach Ryan Moore, now in his seventh year at the helm, the Panthers bring back a veteran group that has developed strong chemistry and an identity built on effort and competitiveness.
“We return everyone from last season except one starter,” said Moore. “We have a lot of experience coming back this year. This is a very competitive and hard-working team who is looking for an opportunity to make a run in the playoffs.”
At the center of the Panthers’ attack is senior Rylan McCool (5-8, Sr.), a dynamic point guard who does it all on both ends of the floor. McCool averaged 23.1 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 deflections, and 4 steals per game, while also eclipsing the 1,000-point mark for his career. “He’s a good athlete, very hard worker, respectful, and a team player,” said Moore. “He’s a good team leader on the floor and will play with all he has the entire game. He’s aggressive to the rim, has a good mid-range and three-point shot, and plays solid defense. Rylan enjoys his team and works hard every day.”
Junior Jacksyn Prather (5-10, Jr.) adds a strong two-way presence after posting 9.2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 deflections, and 4 steals per game last year. His energy and defensive effort help set the tone for the Panthers’ physical style of play.
Sophomore Chace Brown (6-2, So.) provides valuable size and scoring ability. “He’s a very young and upcoming athlete for our team,” said Moore. “He helps with size and being able to score the ball.”
Also returning are juniors Timmy Guest (5-9, Jr.), who contributed 5 points and 4 rebounds per game, and Cody Combs (5-9, Jr.), who averaged 6 points and 4 rebounds while bringing toughness and hustle on the boards.
With a deep, experienced lineup and a star leader in McCool, coach Moore’s Panthers are poised to take the next step.
