CARNEY BULLDOGS
BOYS
Coach: Dakota Reedy
23-24 Record: 19-11
The Bulldogs made a run in the Class B playoffs last season, but they made an exit earlier than they had hoped. But after a strong offseason, head coach Dakota Reedy says that the team looks to go deeper this season. “We return four starters from last season’s Area tournament team,” Reedy said. “We are a very experienced team featuring 10 seniors. We are hopeful that after another year of development, we can take another step forward. We have a very tight-knit group that plays well together and wants to be successful. While we do have quite a bit of experience, we also have some younger guys that we are hoping can take a big leap forward and contribute as well. Class B features a bunch of really good teams, and we are hoping to be lucky enough to be in the conversation with those other teams.” One of the guys leading the charge will be John Martin (Sr.). He is an underrated player but can do just about anything on the floor. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals last season as a junior and he should be a vital part in the team taking the next step forward. Looking to step up and make some noise this season is Remington Martin (Fr.). He is an outstanding athlete, and his athleticism is one of his biggest strengths. Lukas Watts (So.) is a sophomore and has the opportunity to earn some big minutes. He has improved over the offseason and his size could create matchup problems for other teams. Gage Knox (Sr.) and Hudson Zaske (Sr.) are both hard workers that are always willing to do whatever needs to be done in order to help the team be successful. Other members of the team to keep an eye on this season are Dalton Dover (Sr.), Logan Musil (Sr.), Gage Novotny (Sr.), Braden Penney (Sr.), Bo Ramsey (Sr.), Kam Tuley (Sr.), Thomas Welch (Sr.), Charles Calkins (Jr.), Caden Coleman (Jr.), Aiden Hasbell (Jr.), and Tucker Owens (Jr.). The rest of the team includes Braeden Challis (So.), Dakota Cox (So.), Eli King (So.), Preston Savage (So.), Isaiah Schmidkunz (So.), Garrett Webb (So.), Heston Welch (So.), Carter Click (Fr.), Adam Hunt (Fr.), Carson Kliewer (Fr.), Urban Spoonemore (Fr.), and Evan York (Fr.).
