Chandler is proud to represent her school and community as a cheerleader. Chandler explained, “It means everything to me to represent Tonkawa. I get to walk with my head held high every day, knowing I have a family that has my back constantly.”
Chandler has earned the respect of her coach. Coach Levings stated the following about Chandler: “Chandler has a heart of gold, that is evident in the way she encourages, uplifts, and inspires others. She leads not only by example but also by the genuine care that shows, making a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.”
Faith, family, and her coaches all play an important role in Chandler’s life. Chandler proclaimed, “Some of the biggest role models in my life are God, because he sets the perfect example, my mom, because she is always there for me most, and my coaches, because they want me to be the very best for my team and myself.”
As far as what it has taken Chandler to become successful in cheerleading, Chandler stated, “It has taken multiple practices, tough losses during competition, and having the best teammates that are encouraging, no matter what.”
In terms of a favorite memory as a cheerleader thus far, Chandler stated, “It would be during my freshman year when it was the first time the Tonkawa High school cheer team had ever competed in the Game Day cheer competition, and we ended up going to state.”
Besides cheerleading for football and baseball, Chandler is involved in other extracurricular activities. Chandler stated, “I am involved in The National Honor Society, Student Council, game day competition, and baseball managing.”
After graduating from high school, Chandler plans on pursuing higher education. Chandler stated, “My plan after high school is to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University, as well to cheer there. After that, I plan to become a dentist. “
