Tonkawa’s Audrina Palmer – Presented By Phillips 66

Tonkawa High School junior Audrina Palmer has quickly become a name to know, not just for her talent on the field and court, but for the dedication and pride she brings to representing the Lady Bucs. A three-sport athlete, Palmer competes in fastpitch, slowpitch, and basketball, with her strongest role being behind the plate as a catcher and utility player.

Palmer’s motivation comes from two key places, her personal drive to improve and her family. “The challenge of improving my skills to reach my goals so that I can successfully contribute to my team’s success motivates me,” she said. “My parents also motivate me to keep pushing forward even on tough days.” Among her role models, her father stands out the most. “He gave me a strong foundation, and without him, I wouldn’t be the player I am today.”

Academically, Palmer credits Mrs. Shepherd as her most impactful teacher. “She was always so supportive in and out of the classroom and still is. Not sure any teacher could top her!” Palmer also juggles involvement in the Future Farmers of America, Student Council, and GameChangeHERs, a task that requires late nights, early mornings, and learning to balance priorities.

On the field, Palmer has experienced highs that reflect her commitment. One of her favorite career memories came with her Enid Bruins travel team. In a championship game, trailing on the scoreboard, she blasted her first over-the-fence home run, a defining moment that proved her hard work was paying off.

As for rivalries, Palmer admits that victories over Enid and Alva are extra sweet. “No one expects us to beat these teams. Winning feels amazing as the underdog,” she said. In practice, she enjoys the competition with teammate Jazz Burris, who shares her position. “It’s nice to be able to compete with her because we can celebrate each other’s individual wins.”

Representing Tonkawa is a role Palmer doesn’t take lightly. “Tonkawa means ‘they all stay together,’ and it couldn’t be more true when it comes to our team, our school, and our community. I’m very proud to be a Lady Buc and call Tonkawa my home.”

Looking forward, she continues to be inspired by Kinzie Hanson, a standout catcher who embodies strength, determination, and leadership, the same qualities Palmer strives to bring to every game she plays.
