Q&A with Ponca City’s Jayden Lolar – Presented by Sparklight

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Jayden: I am a senior at Ponca City High School. I play soccer for my school and I also play club soccer.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Jayden: Patience and leadership. If I didn’t have either one of these, I couldn’t be a soccer player, student,  friend, or daughter.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Jayden: When I got runner up All-District my sophomore year to one of my best friends then got All-District my junior year.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Jayden:  I would say Didiana Delagarza. She’s one of my close friends and teammates. We didn’t grow up playing together but we bonded over soccer which made us instantly click. Also, Mattie Brophy and I have played together for a while and she’s also one of my closest friends. We still play together and she has definitely taught me to be patient.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Jayden: My mom inspires me. She was there for every one of my milestones, she is my biggest supporter. She is the most selfless, hardworking individual that I know and she’s constantly caring and putting everyone else before herself. She inspires me to be a good person.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Jayden: Mrs. Kriech was my Biology teacher. She takes the time to really teach and take others’ feelings into consideration . She’s also my head coach. I think for me and her we have a different bond. She came to Ponca High School my freshman year being assistant soccer coach until my senior year, when she became head coach. I think we both have grown together.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Jayden: When you do something new, of course you’re not going to do it right ,or great. If you really want it, work to do it right.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Jayden: I don’t have a favorite meal. I get fixations so I have a new one every week, but currently I would have to say a Qdoba!

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Jayden: I would go to Ravello, Italy with just my mom. It would be a good mom and daughter trip.
