PONCA CITY WILDCATS

Coach: JUSTIN ROLAND

3-8

OFFENSE

The Ponca City Wildcats head into the 2025 season looking to turn the page and take a major step forward under head coach Justin Roland. With a roster loaded with experienced seniors and a few exciting young talents, the Wildcats are hoping to build on last season’s foundation and compete at a higher level this fall. Ponca City brings back a group of dynamic athletes on offense, headlined by Donovan Harjo (6-3, 205, Sr.), an all-purpose threat. Harjo’s size, athleticism, and versatility make him a dangerous playmaker whether lined up in the backfield or out wide. The Wildcats will rely on their size up front, anchored by linemen Blayze McGaha (5-10, 265, Sr.) and Omari Orr (6-6, 330, Sr.). Their presence should help pave the way for an improved run game and give their athletes space to operate. Senior running back Alonzo Biggoose (5-9, 190, Sr.) brings power and experience to the backfield, while wide receiver Ryder Trepton (5-10, 170, Sr.) is expected to be a reliable target in the passing game. Another key contributor is athlete Cortez Roland-Barton (6-0, 175, Sr.), who adds speed and creativity to the offense. Sophomore Colt Schickram is a rising name to watch, with the versatility to make plays as both a receiver and running back.

DEFENSE

Defensively, Ponca City returns a hard-nosed group led by senior defensive back Adriel Moore (6-1, 180, Sr.). A three-year starter, Moore led the team in tackles and tallied six interceptions, showcasing both physicality and ball skills from the secondary. Joining him in the secondary will be Luke Larson (5-11, 165, Sr.). Linebacker Daeton Seney (6-1, 215, Sr.) will be a key piece in the middle of the defense, bringing toughness and leadership to the front seven. On the defensive line, Mason McCleary (6-3, 220, Sr.) is a disruptive force who can pressure the quarterback and hold his own against the run. Sophomore Theaden Leigh, who saw action in six games as a freshman, is expected to take on a much larger role this year. Fast, physical, and improving rapidly, Leigh could be a breakout player in 2025. With a strong senior class and several emerging underclassmen, the Wildcats have the tools to surprise opponents this season.
