The Ponca City High School volleyball team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 campaign, returning a solid core from last year’s 8-4 regular season. With six motivated seniors and a talented group of underclassmen, Head Coach Jennie Hinterreiter believes this year’s squad has the energy, experience, and drive to make some serious noise on the court.

Leading the way is senior Darcy Hinterreiter, a versatile and dynamic player who continues to grow in both power and court IQ. Darcy thrives at either pin position but is also dangerous in the middle and from the back row. Her deep float serve is difficult for opponents to handle, and she’s a key presence defensively, setting strong blocks and reading hitters with precision. Off the court, she’s just as impressive, balancing a 3.6 GPA with involvement in Student Council, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, tennis, and church youth groups. The Wildcats are counting on her to have a breakout senior year.

Sophomores Yesenia Menchaca and Emerie Morrions made a big impact defensively as freshmen, and their development over the offseason has coaches excited. With another year of varsity experience under their belts, the pair is expected to anchor the back row with even more consistency and confidence.

Another rising talent to watch is Makena Greenhagen, a natural athlete who is showing skill both as a hitter and a setter. Her high volleyball IQ and competitive spirit make her a valuable asset on both ends of the floor.

Senior Allison Duncan brings leadership, heart, and grit to the team. Known as the spark plug, Allison’s commitment to her academics, athletics, and teammates stands out. Her positive attitude and relentless effort will play a big role in the team’s success this season.
With strong leadership, developing talent, and a unified group of seniors hungry to compete, Ponca City volleyball promises to be a fun and fierce team to watch in 2025.
