Whether organizing fundraisers, coordinating booster club meetings or supporting from the stands, Caiti Clark has impacted Ponca City High School’s softball program.

As co-president of the Diamond Club, Clark plays a key role in raising funds, planning events and ensuring the team has the resources to succeed.

“I actually was asked to do it, so it wasn’t something that I pursued,” Clark said.

Her passion for the program is personal. As the mother of a sophomore on the team, she understands how crucial community support is for student-athletes.

Clark’s leadership skills in logistics and management are not new.

During her own high school years, she served as a football manager for four years, an experience that gave her insight into the behind-the-scenes work of sports programs.

That background helped her transition smoothly into her current role.

“I kind of knew the back end of how sports worked, how coaches operate, and already had relationships with the school system,” Clark said. “So it made it much easier to communicate with administrators, athletic directors and other key people.”

Since stepping into her role last year, Clark has helped launch several successful fundraising efforts, providing essential financial support for the program.

She has also been a key promoter for the team’s upcoming facility upgrades.

“Our coach wants a new infield,” Clark said. “So we’re working on expanding our practice facilities to give the girls more space and better conditions to train.”

She also hopes to increase parent involvement in the booster club.

“The more parents and community members we have actively engaged, the more we can do for the team,” she said.

Beyond the logistics, Clark’s presence has been a source of encouragement for the players.

Whether helping behind the scenes or cheering in the stands, she has built strong relationships with the athletes—including her daughter.

“I think she likes me being involved,” Clark said.

For Clark, the reward is not in recognition but in seeing the team succeed.

“We just want to create the best experience for these girls,” she said. “It’s about more than just softball—it’s about teamwork, confidence and preparing them for what’s ahead.”
