Northern Oklahoma Softball Players to Watch List – Presented by Phelps Market

Brooklyn Ray, Maysa Edgar, and Addison Peetoom – Blackwell

These three players led Blackwell in every meaningful stat in 2023 by a wide margin. The Maroons will go as far as these three take them. They continue to help create the culture that they want to have in the program

Liz Waltrip – Bristow

Liz caught as a freshman and batted .315 with four doubles and a triple. She stepped into a huge role replacing a senior behind the dish while picking off four runners and catching seven runners that were stealing. She can really play anywhere on the field. Liz is a kid that gets about 500-1000 cuts a week whether it is offseason or during season.

Abigail Bevins – Cleveland

This young lady played many roles last year and she looks to have a strong season. She is always ready to play wherever her team needs her and she is a very talented player.

Charleigh Hewitt – Mannford

A senior infielder, Hewitt has put in the hard work and looks to be a contributor this season.

Jaslene Garcia-Howell – Pawnee

Jalene is a team player who puts in the extra work and does what is asked of her without hesitation. She is a leader on the team and is always encouraging towards the other players. She looks to help the team defensively on the field and offensively at the plate this season.

Chesni Lowery – Perkins-Tryon

Chesni is going to be a leader on and off the field this year. She is a huge threat at the plate with both speed and power coming from the left side. In the infield, she holds down the fort at first base, giving a great steadiness to the infield that is going to be very young this year.

Emery Halford – Perry

Halford loves the game of softball and it shows when she is on the field. She works hard to be her best every time she takes the field.

Brittani Murray – Stillwater

Brittani will be a major contributor in the circle and at the plate. She is expected to have a tremendous senior season.
