Newkirk Cheer Team – Presented by Phillips 66

The Newkirk Cheer Team has once again proven why it stands among the elite programs in Oklahoma. Under the leadership of Coach Kim Wilson, who is celebrating her 33rd year guiding Newkirk cheerleaders, and her daughter Baylie Wilson, the team’s assistant coach for the past decade, the Tigers have demonstrated unparalleled skill, heart, and teamwork. Their accomplishments this year are a testament to a culture built on dedication, resilience, and the joy of performing together.

This season was marked by historic success. The team claimed the 2025 Small Coed State Championship, completing a remarkable three-peat, adding to a legacy that includes 10 State Championships, 3 State Runner-Up titles, and 13 Regional Championships. The accolades also extended to the coaches: Baylie Wilson was named the 2024–25 Oklahoma Coaches Association Cheer Coach of the Year, while Kim Wilson received the 2024–25 OSSAA Cheer Coach of the Year award.

The Tigers credit their success to their ability to work together and overcome obstacles, a trait that has defined the program for years. “Over the last several years, these kids have overcome insurmountable odds to achieve their goals,” Kim Wilson said. Team bonding and traveling to support the school’s athletes remain favorite activities for the squad. One highlight this season was the Polar Plunge in November, a memorable event that brought the team closer together while adding a bit of fun and adventure to their rigorous schedule.

The team’s leadership comes from its three seniors: Brinley Deibler, Brynna Yandell, and Xander Stephens. Brinley enjoys the camaraderie on the sidelines and the chance to share laughs with her teammates during games. Brynna treasures the team bonding experiences, appreciating how the group reveals its authentic personalities outside of practice. The rest of the squad, Acie Cline, Aliyana Mora, Aubrey White, Bailey Davis, Baylie Wilson, Braxton Bowman, Brikxon Wilson, Brookylyn Runyon, Danika Duncan, Ellie Engbrock, Emma Murko, Gabe Owen, Gunner Hobbs, Jacie Schneeberger, Jayden Williamson, Jozie Peri, Kamden Schofell, Keelie O’Brien, Kim Wilson, Macey Feathers, Markus Enochs, Paityn Robinson, Raylynn Kubik, Sage Tucker, Samilynn DeCosta, and Stormy McBride, contribute energy, talent, and spirit that make the Tigers unstoppable.

With a winning tradition, strong leadership, and a team-first mentality, the Newkirk Cheer Team continues to inspire, entertain, and set a standard of excellence both on and off the mat.
