Fontier’s Gracie Williams – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Agri Center – Stillwater Milling Co

Gracie Williams is an outgoing student at Frontier High School. From FFA to athletics, she sets goals to further her success. Now a sophomore, she remembers a time when it was difficult for her to talk to other people. Involvement in FFA gave her the confidence to communicate and become a leader.

Seeing the leadership of those ahead of her was the encouragement for her to join FFA. “I used to not be able to talk to people or have great conversations with anyone until I went to camp. If I wasn’t in FFA then I don’t know who I would be today. It’s a great thing to get into and it will change your life for the better,” says Gracie.

Gracie looks up to her FFA chapter president Payten Linn. “She has shown me how it is to become a great friend and a great officer. When she graduates, she will leave the chapter to me and I’ll be there helping my chapter. If it wasn’t for Payten, I wouldn’t be this passionate about becoming the next FFA president,” she said.

Gracie can be seen in the show ring showing pigs and out playing multiple sports. She plays basketball and runs track, but one sport, softball, is her true passion. “Softball is my life. I don’t go a day without thinking about playing in college one day. I am passionate about it because it makes me work hard and it teaches me how to handle the pressure in hard situations,” says Gracie.

The best memories made through FFA are from alumni camp. Meeting so many good people and having a great time is something she will always look back on fondly. The best softball memory was an accomplishment to be proud of. Gracie says playing for the state title with the entire community cheering for her team was an amazing experience.

Gracie praises her mom as her biggest inspiration. “She works hard for everything she has. If it wasn’t for her hard work I wouldn’t be who I am today.”
