Senior, Breck Ailey stepped into a new role last Friday night as Quarterback for the Tigers. Ailey set the new school record for rushing with 301 yards on 41 carries averaging 7.4 yards per carry and scoring 5 touchdowns, at Newkirk. Defensively Breck had 4 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. The Tigers traveled home celebrating the 61 to 36 victory over Kellyville.
Head Coach – Chris Green had set high expectations for Ailey this year and with one seasonal game left, Ailey made Tiger History!
“Breck is a great athlete, coming off of a state appearance in both Wrestling and Track last year, we expected him to do some damage on the field this season. Breck has also maintained a 4.133 cumulative GPA through his Junior year. He’s a great example for his teammates and a leader both on and off the field.”
Newkirk travels to Alva THIS THURSDAY – (11/7) – Kickoff at 7!
