BLACKWELL LADY MAROONS
Coach: DENNIS HART
2024-25 Record: 11-15
The Blackwell Lady Maroons will have a new face leading the team this season in head coach Dennis Hart. While he is still getting to know the players and their strengths and abilities, he says that he likes what he has seen so far.
“I was very pleased with what I saw during summer camps,” Hart said. “Pretty athletic, a desire to get better, and a willingness to do what that takes. We are looking forward to finding out who we are this season. We have a nice mix of girls from seniors to freshmen, with several who stand out.”
Coming off an 11–15 season, the Lady Maroons spent the summer laying the groundwork for a new identity, and Hart was encouraged by what he saw: a roster that works hard, competes with energy, and embraces the challenge of growth. With a balanced mix of seniors, underclassmen, and several promising newcomers, Blackwell is eager to discover exactly who they can become.
Senior leadership will play a key role, and the Lady Maroons have a solid core at the top. Reese Lambert (5-8, Sr.), forward, embodies the program’s team-first mindset. A well-rounded athlete who consistently puts the group ahead of herself, Lambert brings stability, experience, and unselfishness to the lineup. Fellow seniors Emmy Lorg (5-6, Sr.) and Azaily Gonzales (5-4, Sr.) add depth and toughness on the perimeter, while Annie Cloud (5-9, Sr.) provides size and physicality in the frontcourt.

One of the team’s most dynamic players is junior forward Jaeden Munroe (5-9, Jr.), whose length, quickness, and versatility make her a focal point on both ends of the floor. A consistent mid-range shooter who is extending her range to the three-point line, Munroe runs the floor extremely well and possesses the rare ability to guard every position. She will be joined by fellow junior, Nina Glass (5-8, Jr.), who will be playing guard and will look to be a big contributor.
The sophomore class, featuring Nora Glass (5-5, So.), Addison Treviso (5-5, So.), and Jolee Dice (5-7, So.), adds strong skill and competitiveness to the rotation, while freshman guard Tylee Rowe (5-9, Fr.) has already made a strong impression. Rowe is a fierce competitor who plays with toughness, celebrates her teammates, and brings contagious energy. Her approach and effort make her a joy to coach and a potential difference-maker early in her high school career.
Blackwell’s freshman group is deep, athletic, and promising, with players such as Ari Gonzales (5-4, Fr.), Abi Bryant (5-7, Fr.), Kenzlee Pennington (5-5, Fr.), Addalee Spencer (5-6, Fr.), and Jaycee Ashley (5-5, Fr.) all capable of contributing as they develop.
With new leadership, a hard-working roster, and a hunger to define their identity, the Lady Maroons enter the season confident and motivated. If their summer progress carries into the winter, Blackwell could take meaningful strides and become one of the area’s most improved teams.
