The Tonkawa softball team finished the 2025 season with a solid 18-13 record, capping off a year of growth, determination, and strong team play with a trip to the Regional Tournament. Head Coach Tori Green praised the squad’s efforts and resilience throughout the season. “This group showed incredible dedication, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come,” she said.
Tonkawa faced a challenging district that included top-tier teams Preston and Stroud, both state tournament contenders, as well as Newkirk, which moved down to 2A from 3A this season. Despite the tough competition, the team competed at a high level and consistently rose to the challenge, demonstrating both skill and teamwork in every matchup.
Several players were instrumental in the team’s success. Junior Audrina Palmer stood out as a high-impact player who could change the momentum of a game at any moment. Senior Haylee Ingram provided leadership as both pitcher and centerfielder, balancing experience with a steady presence on the field. Jazmin Dollarhide, the junior shortstop, anchored the infield with her quick reflexes and smart play, while fellow junior Adalynna Ingmire at second base contributed energy, precision, and reliability to the team’s defense.
Coach Green emphasized that while talent carried the team, the culture and chemistry made a difference in their postseason push. “These players supported each other through the highs and lows of the season. Their effort, attitude, and teamwork are what got us to the Regional Tournament,” she said.
Reaching the regional stage was a highlight for Tonkawa softball, marking a step forward for the program and giving players valuable experience in high-pressure situations. The team’s combination of skill, determination, and camaraderie will serve as a strong foundation for the future.
As the 2025 season closes, Tonkawa Softball can look back with pride on a year of growth, achievement, and teamwork, finishing strong with a record of 18-13 and a memorable postseason appearance.
