Tonkawa High School sophomore Loudyn Alexander is a multisport athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball for the Tonkawa High School Buccaneers. In football, Loudyn is a slot receiver and cornerback, in basketball, Loudyn plays the position of shooting guard, and in baseball, Louydn plays the positions of pitcher, short stop, center field, second base, or wherever he is needed. Many would consider Loudyn a sports veteran, having started playing football, basketball, and baseball at the age of 10 years old.
Loudyn is proud to represent both his school and community, as a student athlete. Loudyn proclaimed, “It means everything to me to represent my school and community; our school is its own little community. We all have each other’s back and, have the same end goal: to win; that is what I want to help being a part of.”
As far as his biggest influence, Loudyn looks toward family as that source. Loudyn stated, “My mom is my biggest influence, because she always keeps going no matter what is in the way. She always wants to make sure everyone around her stays happy.”
In terms of what motivates Loudyn, he stated, “What motivates me is the challenge of competition, and wanting to achieve new personal goals.”
Priceless memories are made during a student athlete’s career. For Loudyn, a favorite memory occurred in baseball. Loudyn reflected, “I had just switched schools to Tonkawa, and our first tournament, and I pitched a no hitter game. It was featured in the local paper, which I thought was pretty cool.”
In addition to being a student athlete at Tonkawa high school, Loudyn is currently involved with his school’s extended studies program. He will head to Italy during spring break to be a part of it.
After graduating from high school, Loudyn plans on pursuing higher education. Loudyn stated, “After high school, I plan to attend college, and to hopefully play sports at the collegiate level.”
