Q&A with Perry’s Peyton Wines – Presented by Seth Wadley Ford

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Peyton: I am a senior at Perry High School where I cheer and play golf.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Peyton: I’m most proud of winning regionals and placing third at state my freshman year.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Peyton: Simone Biles because she put her mental health first and stopped when she needed to, but did not give up. She came back and put a lot of work in in order to be better than before.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Peyton: The teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Elli Jones. She is constantly encouraging the team and is always happy to be there.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Peyton: My favorite part about representing Perry High School is that I can play a part in getting people excited about what is happening and can set an example for the younger kids.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Peyton: My mom is a huge inspiration to me. She works hard at everything she does and is an amazing mom to me and my sister.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Peyton: My favorite teacher is coach Dwyer because I had him for many years and we got along well.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Peyton: I am involved in Student Council, Leadership, as well as Youth on Main.

Peyton: I would like to thank Jeanna Browne for everything she does for our team and me personally. She is such a strong amazing person and I am so lucky to have her in my life.
