Q&A with Perry’s Alexi Valencia – Presented by Stillwater Medical of Perry

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Valencia: I am a sophomore at Perry High School. I am a wrestler.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Valencia: Mild wings and salt and vinegar fries from Buffalo Wild Wings.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Valencia: I would go to Hawaii and I would take my parents and siblings.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Valencia: Always put your faith in Jesus when you are struggling, never turn away from him; he is your only solution to being happy.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Valencia: It’s taught me to be a better person such as being respectful and working hard for what I want, and having discipline.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Valencia: Sayben Owen because she makes sure I’m working hard during practice and makes sure we take no days off if we are having a bad day or struggling with something.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Valencia: I respect and like all my teachers, I cannot choose just one.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Valencia: My proudest moment is qualifying for state.

Valencia: I want to thank my parents for always going to my tournaments and having faith in me, even when I don’t have faith in myself.
